I wrote this in 2018 and looking back at it the part about greyhound adoption being at 94.4% should now say 100%.
The anti-racing group Grey2k has brainwashed you very slowly over years that the greyhound industry is cruel and inhumane. repeating something over and over doesn't make it true, but it brainwashes people into thinking it is true. Their proof is really nothing more than their opinion. Their proof is stealing pictures off the internet and then telling you about the picture. The idea that these people are experts on anything greyhound is laughable. They never worked in a greyhound kennel, they never worked on a greyhound farm, they never whelped a litter getting up in the middle of the night to help with the delivery of the pups or cleared the airway of a pup to make sure there is no problem breathing. The people that do this are the people this anti-racing group wants you to believe are cruel and inhumane.
This anti-racing group likes to bring up the Ronnie Williams case. That case was true and though the anti-racing group had nothing to do with Ronnie Williams being arrested, they were quick to pounce on this case showing how bad the greyhound industry is and to use the case to get donations.. However, you have to ask yourself if this is a true example of the greyhound industry or is it one bad apple? This case was in 2010 so if this is the true greyhound industry wouldn't there be case after case just like this, year after year?
It is now 2018, eight years since Ronnie Williams arrest, and that is the most recent case of arrest, trial and conviction for abusing greyhounds. If there was a more recent case the anti-racing group would have told you. Ronnie Williams got got exactly what he deserved, but he got what he deserved by being arrested, going to trial, being found guilty by a jury and serving two and a half years in jail.
The problem with being accused of something online is the accuser is judge, jury and executioner. The accuser can manipulate their jury, which is you, into thinking anything they want you to think. In a real trial, in a real courtroom the anti-racing organization would have to present facts that the industry is cruel and inhumane and if they can't present those facts to you how could they present the facts in court of law?
People that attempt to brainwash you do so by either repeating the same thing over and over or by presenting an image in your mind of something that isn't bad into something that is.
How horrible did you thinking stacking crates one on top of the other "warehouse style" is? You probably never thought twice about this being horrible, but now, maybe, you do. You have been brainwashed into thing this. Stacking anything is being called efficient. If the kennel buildings were made bigger to accommodate each crate on the floor would everything be better in your mind?
You have been brainwashed.
Imagine a world with no stacking of anything. Imagine all those people that live in triple-decker houses or condos. Each floor has a different family, but did you think it was bad to stack families one on top of the other? Probably the worse thing you can do is be cruel to children so I can imagine your outrage when someone has BUNKBEDS. Good god we are now stacking sleeping children one on top of the other.
You see, it is all perception and shows how you are being brainwashed. These people are master manipulators and can get you to believe anything. They write in a way that lead you to conclusions that are false without saying the falsehood. They make videos and use music that sounds dark and dreary. That is all done for effect, the effect to brainwash you.
How bad did you feel when you heard the dogs slept on either rug remnants or shredded paper. You were led to believe rug remnants were old worn out junk rug that was thrown in the dumpster and picked out of the dumpster by the evil track kennel people.
I worked as a carpenter and where I worked had a rug department. If the shop was slow and the people in the rug department needed help I would help them. We got in rolls of brand new rug and cut it to the size needed to lay on the floor of the space our customer reserved at the show hall. At the end of the rolls there was always leftover rug that was not going to be used and people from management to anyone in the shop would ask if there was any rug such and such a size left over. There almost always was and we would cut it to whatever size they wanted. They were getting free rug, the company was happy to get rid of it, and it was "remnants." What horror.
Doesn't your local rug store sell remnants from time to time? Mine does.
As far as shredded paper, I guess these anti-racing people never played in a pile of leaves when they were kids. The leaves aren't shredded, but leaves are just like paper, shredded or not.
You have been brainwashed into thinking something is bad that really isn't.
The first rule of brainwashing is to control the media. As long as you control what people read brainwashing will be successful.
Doesn't it seem odd that this anti-racing organization has never asked you to find out about the racing industry for yourself? People like Jeff Sonksen, from Paint the Trail, was invited to come and video whatever he wanted. Jeff was anti-racing till he saw with his own eyes and has now visited many track kennels and has come to one conclusion. You were being lied to by the anti-racing group.
You probably weren't aware that 50 people went into the kennels at the Sanford Orlando track on June 23rd. You probably weren't aware of it because I bet Carey and Christine, the ASPCA and the HSUS never posted it on their Facebook or twitter pages. But, why? Imagine you could have infiltrated and taken pictures, your own pictures, of the inside of a racing kennel. You could have showed the world, but they can't let you be part of a group going into a kennel and see for yourself.
The brainwashing would be over, the scam uncovered.
Christine Dorchak and Carey Theil, co-founders of the anti-racing group trying to ban greyhound racing Florida, told their followers this:
"Our goal is to know the dog racing industry better than it knows itself". Think about this for a minute. Our goal is to know the dog racing industry better than it knows itself.
That is a very nice saying, but that talk is nothing more than two people trying to con you. They can read all the books they want and they can scour the internet to learn about the racing greyhound, but they won't know anything about the racing greyhound like a greyhound farmer, trainer or kennel owner does. Greyhounds are not an industry you can learn in a book. It in not an industry you can learn on the internet. In fact, it is not an industry you can learn at Harvard or Yale. It is an industry you have to get your hands dirty, scoop poop, be up at the crack of dawn and care for the greyhounds till last turnout 24/7/365. You don't get to sit in your plush office in the upscale town of Arlington, Massachusetts and learn more about the greyhound industry than the hands-on greyhound farmers, kennel owners and trainers.
These anti-racing people will tell you anything.
These anti-racing people will tell you anything like greyhounds are forced to run. Greyhound racing has been around for a hundred years in the U.S and since the 1800's overseas and not one breeder, not one farmer, not one kennel owner and not one trainer has figured out how to make a greyhound run. Maybe the anti-racing people in their plush offices in Arlington, Massachusetts could share their knowledge. They seem to be the only ones in the whole world that have that knowledge, if you want to believe them.
They have brainwashed you. They have brainwashed you to the point of all they have to say is greyhounds are forced to run and many of you get on the comment sections of a newspaper article or Facebook and tell everyone what the anti-racing people with no knowledge of the racing greyhound pounded into your head. You assume it is true and the anti-racing people know it isn't. They sit back in their chairs in their plush offices in Arlington, Massachusetts with a big smile on their face.
God forbid if anyone brings up humans get hurt racing. You have been brainwashed to say humans have a choice and greyhounds don't. Greyhounds are forced to run. Forget greyhounds for a minute, haven't any of you ever owned any breed of dog? Of course you have. If you have a fenced in yard and open the door has your dog ever run after a squirrel, rabbit, bird or anything else moving in your yard? Some dogs don't care, but most bolt down the stairs and are off, are you ready, CHASING the animal. Did you force that dog to run after the animal in your yard? Of course not. Chasing is part of a dogs DNA, it's what they are wired to do. Since the first dogs on earth had something to chase, a rabbit, squirrel or anything else, they chased, it is part of their very soul.
Only someone that been brainwashed would even think that a greyhound is forced to run.
Greyhound adoption rate is 94.4% percent. I know, I know, Eric Jackson will lead the charge and the rest will follow, where did you you get that number from? Show me. The fact is Eric, Christine and Carey know where this figure came from, but they didn't tell you. That figure came from ME. Dick Ciampa. I did the research, I spent six or seven weeks gathering as much information as I could and wrote the paper that went out on Facebook and was shared over and over again.
The anti-racing group didn't post the adoption rate on their FB page or website because they have to control the media and the truth about adoption is not for your eyes.
So the better question is where did Eric, Christine and Carey get their 20,000 greyhounds are killed every year? They did no research. They picked that number out of the air, you believed it and kept repeating it.
Didn't the anti-racing people from Arlington, Massachusetts let you see what ex-board member Jen Krebs said about greyhound adoption? She said, 200,000 greyhounds have been adopted in the last ten years. That is 20,000 greyhounds a year getting adopted.
I often wonder why, very quietly, Jen Krebs was no longer a board member of the anti-racing group not long after her 200,000 greyhounds adopted. There was no, we wish Jen well in her next endeavor and thank her for her time on the board. No mention of Jen Krebs ever again.
Do you think it is nice that the Christine and Carey own Gina? You have been brainwashed into thinking that by them taking a few photo ops with the dog. Think of how many pictures you have of your dog inside your home. Now think of how many pictures you have seen of Gina inside Carey and Christine's home. You may see some now that I have mentioned it as it will be easy to take Gina for a photo op.
Before you are thinking you are not brainwashed and I am lying, as of a couple of years ago there was no dog licensed, no greyhound licensed to either Carey Theil or Christine Dorchak or Christine Theil in the upscale town of Arlington, Massachusetts. On top of this how difficult is it for YOU to take a vacation when you own a dog?
In the last three years Christine and Carey have been to Florida for five or six weeks, each year, when the legislature is in session. They were just in Florida again for an extended time in June and July. They have been to Australia, New Zealand, China, Italy, England, Ireland, Arizona, Texas, Kansas, West Virginia and Iowa.
Could you or would you do all that traveling if you owned a dog?
Unbrainwash yourself. Go to a kennel, go to a farm and see for yourself. The anti-racing group that needs to control what you read will say get the facts from them. I say get the facts yourself.
I'm not afraid of the truth, I'm afraid of the lies
